Ice Cream Social - Sunday, September 20.
We need scoopers and lifters.
Every year the Ice Cream Social runs on neighbors showing up to help. Last year we served over 450 bowls. Leave your name below and we'll email you in early September with one-hour shifts. Some of them are scooping and greeting; just as many are lifting - tables, canopies and coolers that have to come in before the first bowl and go back out after the last one. No experience required; volunteers need to be 16 or older. Bring a scooping hand, a strong back, or both.

Trees For Oakland is providing trees through their volunteer-based operations under the banner of Trees for Oakland (TfO) and the Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation (OPRF).

Trees for Oakland’s mission: To contribute to the urban forest in all of Oakland by planting and maintaining trees in the city, with emphasis in areas with limited canopy. By doing so, we aim to educate people about trees, combat climate change, and provide a more equitable distribution of trees within Oakland.
