Every year the Ice Cream Social runs on neighbors showing up to help. Last year we served over 450 bowls. Leave your name below and we’ll email you in early September with one-hour shifts - scooping, setup, greeting, or breakdown. No experience required, just a willingness to hold a scoop.

Trees For Oakland is providing trees through their volunteer-based operations under the banner of Trees for Oakland (TfO) and the Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation (OPRF).
Visit the site to learn more about requesting a tree or volunteering.
Trees for Oakland’s mission: To contribute to the urban forest in all of Oakland by planting and maintaining trees in the city, with emphasis in areas with limited canopy. By doing so, we aim to educate people about trees, combat climate change, and provide a more equitable distribution of trees within Oakland.
